The HAM-LET 3001730 is a compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tube lines in a single inline fitting. Built from 316 stainless steel to material grades meeting ASTM A182, ASTM A213, ASTM A269, ASTM A276, and ASTM A479, this union delivers corrosion resistance suited to demanding fluid and gas service environments. The fitting connects compression to compression on both ends, allowing a secure, leak-resistant tube joint without welding or soldering. It is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians working on process, pneumatic, or fluid-handling systems where tube integrity and material traceability are required.
This union fits residential and light commercial instrumentation lines, process tubing runs, and pneumatic control circuits where compression fittings are the specified connection method. It is rated for a minimum service temperature of -20 degrees F and a maximum of 37 degrees F, making it appropriate for moderate-temperature ambient and process applications. The stainless steel construction resists oxidation and mild chemical exposure common in mechanical and instrumentation environments.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube union for instrumentation and process tubing systems using compression-style fittings. Cross-reference: Swagelok part number SS-200-9.
Installation is performed by qualified pipefitters, plumbers, or instrumentation technicians following applicable piping codes. Depressurize and isolate the tube line completely before disassembly or fitting installation. Use calibrated tube cutters and deburring tools to ensure a clean, square tube end before seating the compression ferrule. Do not overtighten the compression nut; follow the fitting manufacturer's recommended turn count from finger-tight to avoid ferrule deformation.
