The HAM-LET 3001557 is a compression tube insert fitting made from 316 stainless steel. It is designed to reinforce tubing at compression fittings, preventing tube deformation under compression load. The insert seats inside the tube ID while the compression fitting engages the tube OD, maintaining a secure, leak-resistant joint. With a 0.5000-inch inside diameter and compliance with ASTM A182, ASTM A213, ASTM A269, ASTM A276, ASTM A479, DIN EN10122-5, and DIN EN10272, this insert is suited for demanding fluid and gas handling applications across industrial, HVAC, and instrumentation systems.
This compression tube insert is used in plumbing, instrumentation tubing, and process piping installations where soft or thin-wall tubing requires internal support at the compression fitting joint. Typical applications include compressed air lines, hydraulic instrumentation tubing, and fluid control systems operating within the rated temperature range of -20 degrees F to 37 degrees F. It is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians working on both residential and commercial systems.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube insert for use with standard compression fittings on tubing with a 0.5000-inch inside diameter.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or instrumentation technicians. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembling any compression fitting. Ensure the insert is fully seated inside the tube end before engaging the compression nut to prevent fitting failure under pressure. Follow applicable IPC and ASME B31 piping code requirements for the system type being serviced.
