The HAM-LET 3001005 is a compression tube union fitting manufactured from 316 stainless steel and designed to join two compression tube ends in a single inline connection. The union configuration allows technicians to disconnect and reconnect tubing runs without cutting or flaring. At 2.4 inches in overall length and weighing 0.25 pounds, this fitting is compact enough for tight instrument and process piping installations. It meets multiple ASTM and DIN material and dimensional standards, making it suitable for applications where documentation and material traceability are required. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the primary installers.
This compression union is suited for instrument tubing systems, hydraulic lines, and process piping in industrial, commercial, and HVAC applications where a leak-tight, reusable tube connection is needed. The all-compression end connections eliminate the need for welding or threading at the joint, allowing field assembly with standard hand tools. The 316 stainless steel construction is appropriate for corrosive or high-purity fluid service environments. The fitting is rated for a minimum operating temperature of -20 degrees F and a maximum of 37 degrees C (approximately 98.6 degrees F).
Cross-referenced with Swagelok part number SS-600-4. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for 316 stainless steel compression tube union fittings in instrument and process piping systems using compatible compression tube sizes.
Installation is typically performed by licensed pipefitters or instrumentation technicians. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disconnecting or installing any compression fitting. Compression fittings require proper tube preparation including squarely cut, deburred tubing ends for a leak-free seal. Follow applicable codes such as ASME B31.3 for process piping when determining installation requirements.
