The HAM-LET 3000998 is a compression tube connector designed to join tubing to male NPT threaded pipe in fluid and gas distribution systems. Built from 316 stainless steel, it delivers strong corrosion resistance in demanding environments including chemical processing, instrumentation, and industrial process lines. The connector uses a compression-style end connection on one side and a male NPT thread on the other, providing a reliable, leak-tight mechanical joint without the need for welding or brazing. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the primary installers of fittings in this class.
This fitting is suited for residential and commercial instrumentation tubing runs, process control lines, and fluid handling systems where stainless steel is required for corrosion resistance or purity. The compression end accepts 5/8 inch outside diameter tubing, and the male NPT thread end connects directly to standard NPT-threaded valves, manifolds, or pipe fittings. It is a single-piece connector intended for straight-run tubing-to-pipe transitions in both high-purity and general industrial applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for instrumentation and process tubing systems using 5/8 inch outside diameter tubing with male NPT threaded pipe connections in stainless steel service.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or instrumentation technician following applicable codes such as the IPC or applicable ASME B31 piping standards. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembling or installing any compression fitting. Use appropriate tubing that is cut square, deburred, and free of surface defects to ensure a proper compression seal. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
