The HAM-LET 3000540 is a compression tube connector designed to join tubing to female NPT threaded ports in fluid and gas distribution systems. It uses a compression fitting on one end and a female NPT thread on the other, creating a leak-resistant mechanical connection without soldering or welding. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, the 3000540 delivers strong corrosion resistance in aggressive media environments, including applications involving moisture, chlorides, or mild acids. The 1/4 inch thread size suits small-bore tubing runs common in instrumentation, process, and mechanical systems. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians typically install this fitting.
The 3000540 is suited for residential and light commercial mechanical systems, as well as industrial instrumentation and process lines where a reliable transition between compression tubing and a female NPT port is required. Its 316 stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for applications where standard brass fittings may not provide sufficient corrosion resistance, such as marine, chemical processing, or high-humidity environments. It fits within 1/4 inch tube and thread configurations and is sold individually.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/4 inch compression tubing connected to female NPT threaded ports in plumbing, instrumentation, and mechanical piping applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter following applicable IPC or IFGC code requirements for the system type. Shut off all system pressure and depressurize the line before disassembling or installing any compression fitting. Use an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape on the FNPT threads and tighten the compression nut to a firm, snug fit without over-torquing. Inspect for leaks after restoring system pressure.
