The HAM-LET 3000448 is a compression tube male elbow fitting designed to create a 90-degree directional change in tubing runs while transitioning to a male NPT threaded connection. Constructed from 316 stainless steel to ASTM A269 standards, this fitting delivers corrosion resistance suited to demanding fluid and gas handling systems. The 1/4 inch compression inlet joins directly to a 1/4 inch MNPT outlet without soldering or welding. It is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians in applications where leak-free, repositionable tube connections are required.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC instrumentation lines, pneumatic control systems, and process piping where stainless steel construction is specified for corrosion resistance or media compatibility. The compression-by-MNPT configuration makes it suitable for connecting tubing to threaded ports on valves, gauges, manifolds, and equipment panels. Its rated temperature range of -20 degrees C to 100 degrees C supports a broad range of service conditions encountered in typical mechanical and process installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation compression tube male elbow for systems requiring 1/4 inch compression-to-MNPT connections in 316 stainless steel construction.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber or pipefitter following applicable IPC and facility-specific piping codes. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembling any existing fittings or making new connections. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tubing ferrule, then use a wrench to advance the nut the additional turns specified by the fitting manufacturer for the tubing material in use. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPT threads in accordance with the system fluid and applicable code requirements.
