The HAM-LET 3000440 is a compression tube connector designed to join tubing to female NPT-threaded ports in fluid and gas handling systems. It features a 1/2 inch thread size with a compression-to-FNPT end connection configuration, allowing a secure, leak-resistant joint without welding. The body is machined from 316 stainless steel, providing strong resistance to corrosion and compatibility with a wide range of process media. This fitting is suited for plumbing, instrumentation, and industrial piping applications where a reliable mechanical connection between tubing and threaded pipe is required. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This connector is appropriate for use in residential and commercial plumbing systems, process piping, and instrumentation tubing runs where a compression fitting must transition to a female NPT-threaded port. The 316 stainless steel construction makes it well suited for corrosive environments, including chemical service, marine applications, and food-grade or hygienic piping systems. It is typically installed where tubing terminates at a valve body, manifold, or panel-mounted instrument with a standard female NPT port.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install compression connector for systems utilizing 1/2 inch female NPT-threaded ports and compatible compression tubing in stainless steel piping and instrumentation applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing compression fittings. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the FNPT port first, then use an appropriate wrench to finish seating the ferrule without overtightening, which can deform the tubing. Inspect the tubing end for squareness and burrs before assembly to ensure a proper seal.
