The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 96162 is a two-hole, snap-on style strap designed to secure 3/4-inch electrical metallic tubing (EMT) to structural surfaces. Constructed from zinc-plated steel, the strap resists corrosion and provides a firm, low-profile hold against walls, ceilings, joists, and studs. The snap-on design speeds up installation by eliminating the need to thread conduit through the fitting. Each package contains 4 straps. Electricians reach for this type of hardware when routing EMT runs in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings.
This strap is suited for use with 3/4-inch EMT conduit in both new construction and retrofit wiring applications. It is commonly installed along framed walls, concrete block, and structural steel where conduit must be secured at regular intervals per NEC support-spacing requirements. The zinc-plated finish makes it appropriate for dry and damp locations. The pack-of-4 format is practical for small runs or service work where a full box is not needed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard hardware fitting for 3/4-inch EMT conduit installations in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical systems.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified electrical workers. Power down all affected circuits at the panel before beginning any conduit work in an energized area. Secure the strap to the mounting surface using appropriate fasteners for the substrate (wood screws for framing, masonry anchors for concrete or block). Follow NEC Article 358 requirements for EMT support spacing and securing intervals.
