The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 27251 is a plastic snap-in stud bushing designed to protect non-metallic (NM) cable where it passes through metal stud openings. Sold in a 10-pack, each bushing fits a round pre-punched 1/2 inch metal stud knockout. The plastic construction prevents cable jacket abrasion against sharp metal edges — a common code concern when running NM cable through light-gauge steel framing. Rated for indoor use only. Electricians use these in residential and light commercial framing applications to satisfy NEC requirements for cable protection through metal framing members.
