The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 26218 is a 1-hole cable strap sold in a 10-pack, designed to secure service entrance (SE) and service entrance with underground (SEU) cable in residential and light commercial electrical installations. Each strap provides a single fastening point that anchors cable runs to framing, masonry, or exterior surfaces. The 26218 is compatible with No. 1, No. 0, 1/0, and 2/0 gauge SE and SEU cable, covering the wire sizes most commonly used for residential service entrance feeders. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this hardware.
This strap is used wherever SE or SEU cable must be secured at intervals along its run from the utility meter to the main panel or sub-panel. Code-compliant installations require cable to be supported at regular intervals, and the 26218 provides a simple, low-profile fastening solution for that purpose. Each unit in the 10-pack carries an individual UPC, making it suitable for both bulk installation use and retail shelf stocking by electrical supply distributors.
Designed for use with No. 1, No. 0, 1/0, and 2/0 gauge SE and SEU cable in residential and light commercial electrical service entrance installations.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician. De-energize the circuit and confirm the service is disconnected at the utility or main disconnect before securing cable near the meter or panel. Fasten straps at intervals required by the National Electrical Code (NEC) for SE and SEU cable runs. Use the appropriate fastener for the mounting surface, whether wood framing, masonry, or exterior sheathing, to ensure the strap seats flush and holds cable securely without deforming the jacket.
