The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 12415 is a 1-1/2 inch EMT set screw coupling used to join lengths of electrical metallic tubing in conduit installations. Made from die cast zinc, this concrete tight coupling holds two EMT sections together with a set screw fastening method, providing a secure, low-resistance connection. It is rated for dry locations and concrete tight applications, making it suitable for a range of commercial and residential electrical rough-in work. The unit is UL and CSA listed. Each package contains 5 couplings. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this fitting.
This coupling is used wherever 1-1/2 inch EMT conduit runs must be joined end to end. Typical applications include exposed conduit runs in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and residential service installations. Its concrete tight rating allows it to be embedded in or run adjacent to concrete without compromising the raceway's integrity. Dry location use is also fully supported. The set screw design speeds up installation compared to compression-style fittings, making it a practical choice for production electrical work on new construction or renovation projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for use with 1-1/2 inch electrical metallic tubing (EMT) conduit in dry or concrete tight raceway installations.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC Article 358 governing EMT conduit systems. Power down all circuits in the affected raceway before beginning work. Use an appropriate hex key or nut driver to tighten the set screw to secure the coupling to the conduit sections. Do not over-tighten the set screw to the point of deforming the tubing wall, and ensure both conduit ends are fully seated in the coupling before final tightening.
