The HALEX 62815 is an EMT set screw conduit coupling designed to join two sections of electrical metallic tubing in a secure, inline connection. The coupling uses a set screw fastening method, allowing the installer to mechanically lock the conduit sections together without the need for specialized tooling. This type of coupling is a standard component in commercial and residential electrical rough-in work, keeping conduit runs continuous and maintaining the integrity of the raceway system. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of branch-circuit and feeder conduit assemblies.
The HALEX 62815 is suited for use in dry and damp indoor locations where EMT conduit is the specified raceway type. It is commonly installed in panel feeders, junction box connections, and long conduit runs that require mid-run coupling. The set screw design provides a positive mechanical connection that resists pullout and maintains electrical continuity across the coupling point. This fitting is sold individually, making it easy to order exact quantities for a given job.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for EMT conduit raceway systems in residential and commercial electrical installations.
Installation of EMT conduit couplings must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the affected conduit run before beginning work. Use a properly sized screwdriver or nut driver to tighten the set screw to a firm mechanical connection without stripping the screw head. Ensure conduit ends are reamed and free of burrs before inserting them into the coupling.
