The HALEX 27693 is a strain relief conduit connector designed to secure electrical cables and conductors at the point where they enter a conduit, enclosure, or junction box. It relieves mechanical stress on the cable jacket and internal conductors by clamping the cable firmly at the fitting, preventing tension or movement from being transferred to wire terminations inside the box. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this type of fitting during rough-in and finish wiring on both new construction and retrofit projects.
Strain relief connectors of this type are commonly used in residential and light commercial electrical installations wherever flexible cable or cordage enters a metal or non-metallic enclosure. Typical applications include panel boxes, junction boxes, conduit bodies, and equipment enclosures. The 27693 is sold as a single unit, making it straightforward to order exact quantities needed for a job.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit connector for use with electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and conduit entry points in residential and light commercial wiring applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize the circuit and verify with a meter before working inside any enclosure. The connector is threaded into a knockout opening and tightened with the appropriate locknut or integral nut to achieve a secure, strain-free cable entry. Do not overtighten to the point of damaging the cable jacket.
