The HALEX 27528 is a rigid plastic insulating conduit bushing designed to protect wire and cable insulation at the termination point of metallic conduit runs. The bushing threads or seats onto the end of conduit where it enters an enclosure, panel, or junction box, providing a smooth, non-conductive surface that prevents conductor insulation from being cut or abraded by the sharp edges of cut conduit. Electricians install this fitting during rough-in and finish wiring on both commercial and residential projects. Constructed from rigid plastic, the 27528 is lightweight and electrically non-conductive by design.
This conduit bushing is suited for use at conduit terminations entering electrical panels, junction boxes, and enclosures in standard electrical installations. It is used wherever a smooth insulating transition is required at the end of a rigid conduit stub-out. The bushing is sold individually, making it easy to stock for single-point repairs or new installations requiring only a small quantity.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard service fitting for rigid metallic conduit terminations in residential and commercial electrical installations.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize the circuit and verify the absence of voltage before working inside any panel or enclosure. Seat or thread the bushing fully onto the conduit end before pulling conductors to ensure continuous protection. Inspect the bushing for cracks or deformation prior to installation, as a damaged bushing will not provide adequate insulation protection.
