The HALEX 26261 is a steel EMT compression conduit coupling designed to join two sections of electrical metallic tubing in a secure, low-resistance connection. Compression-style couplings create a watertight mechanical bond without set screws, making them suitable for both dry and damp locations where a tighter seal is required. This fitting is installed by licensed electricians during conduit rough-in work on residential and light commercial wiring systems. The all-steel construction provides durability and maintains the grounding continuity of the conduit run.
This coupling is used in standard EMT conduit installations where a compression fitting is specified over set-screw type fittings. Typical applications include exposed conduit runs in commercial interiors, electrical panels, junction box connections, and anywhere the NEC requires a more secure mechanical connection. The compression design is commonly specified in wet or damp-location-rated installations and is a staple fitting in electrical trade work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for EMT conduit systems in residential and commercial electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the affected conduit run before beginning work. Use the appropriate conduit wrench or strap wrench to tighten the compression nut evenly - do not overtighten to the point of deforming the conduit end. Verify conduit ends are cleanly cut, deburred, and fully seated before tightening the coupling.
