The HALEX 21705 is a rigid cable strap designed to secure and support electrical conduit or cable runs in residential and commercial installations. Cable straps of this type hold conductors and raceways firmly against framing, joists, or masonry surfaces, preventing movement, sagging, or contact damage over the life of the installation. At 0.178 pounds per unit, it is a lightweight, single-piece fastener suited for repeated use across large wiring jobs. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this hardware.
The 21705 is used wherever rigid cable or conduit must be anchored to a fixed surface. Typical applications include securing EMT, rigid metal conduit, or similar raceways to wood framing, metal studs, or concrete in panel-feed runs, service entrance work, and branch circuit layouts. It is sold and used individually, making it easy to order in the quantity required for a specific job without excess.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use strap for rigid conduit and cable securing applications in typical electrical installations.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for conduit and cable support spacing. De-energize all circuits in the work area before mounting or adjusting cable straps near live conductors. Fastener selection for the mounting surface, whether wood screws, masonry anchors, or sheet-metal screws, should match the substrate per job specifications. Inspect the strap seating after fastening to confirm the conduit or cable is held without crushing or deformation.
