The HALEX 20422 is an armored cable and flexible metal conduit (FMC) connector used to terminate and secure AC cable or FMC to an electrical enclosure, junction box, or panel knockout. It creates a code-compliant mechanical connection between the conduit or cable end and the box entry point, maintaining the integrity of the raceway system. At 0.376 pounds, it is a compact, single-unit fitting suited for residential and commercial electrical installations. Licensed electricians and apprentices install this connector as a standard step when terminating flexible wiring methods.
This connector is appropriate for use in branch circuit wiring, equipment connections, and retrofit installations where armored cable or flexible metal conduit is the specified wiring method. It is sold and installed as a single unit, making it easy to stock and deploy for service calls, new construction rough-in, or panel work. Common applications include connecting flex to motor loads, HVAC equipment disconnects, and general-purpose junction box terminations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use connector for armored cable and flexible metal conduit terminations in residential and commercial electrical systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) requirements for armored cable and FMC terminations. De-energize the circuit and verify the panel or enclosure is powered down before beginning work. Secure the connector firmly into the knockout and tighten the locknut to ensure a solid mechanical connection. Do not over-tighten fittings on the conduit or cable jacket in a way that damages the armor or wiring inside.
