The HAIMER 80.367.40.FHN is a dial positioning indicator designed for precise workpiece and tool setup on CNC machining centers. It mounts via a CAT40 taper shank directly into the spindle, allowing machinists and setup technicians to locate edges, bores, and datums without switching to a separate indicating tool. The unit delivers 0.01mm accuracy and features a 4mm point diameter stylus. Its IP67 rating means it resists coolant and chip contamination during normal shop use. The design eliminates the need for re-calibration between setups, reducing non-cutting time on the machine.
This indicator is intended for use on CNC machining centers equipped with CAT40 spindle interfaces, covering a wide range of vertical and horizontal machining center configurations common in job shops and production environments. It is particularly well suited for edge-finding, bore centering, and fixture alignment tasks performed by machinists and CNC setup technicians. The tool loads directly into the spindle like any standard CAT40 holder, making the setup process fast and repeatable without requiring additional adapters.
Designed for use with CAT40 spindle interfaces on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician familiar with tool loading procedures. Power down or place the machine in a safe tool-change state before loading the shank into the spindle, following the machine tool builder guidelines. Use the appropriate pull stud for the CAT40 retention system in your specific spindle. Handle the stylus tip carefully during loading to avoid damage to the point or the indicator mechanism.
