The HAILIANG HL15-165-0305 is a copper reducing coupling with stop, designed for sweat-soldered (C x C) plumbing connections. It transitions from a 1-1/2 inch nominal pipe size to a 3/4 inch nominal pipe size, with corresponding outer diameters of 1-5/8 inches and 7/8 inches. The integral stop ensures consistent seating depth during assembly, improving joint reliability and reducing the risk of misalignment. Licensed plumbers install this fitting in water supply, distribution, and hydronic systems where a reduction in line size is required. It is fabricated from copper, making it suitable for use with standard copper tube and compatible solder and flux.
This reducing coupling is used in residential and light commercial plumbing applications wherever a 1-1/2 inch to 3/4 inch copper line reduction is needed. Typical scenarios include branch connections in domestic water supply systems, hydronic heating distribution lines, and remodel or retrofit work where pipe sizes change between sections of a run. The C x C end configuration accepts standard copper tubing on both ends, soldered in place using conventional sweat-joining methods.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard trade fitting for copper plumbing systems using 1-1/2 inch and 3/4 inch nominal copper tube with sweat-soldered connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off and depressurize the water supply and drain the line completely before cutting or fitting. Clean and flux both tube ends and fitting sockets thoroughly before soldering to ensure a sound, leak-free joint. Do not apply heat to a fitting while the line is pressurized or contains standing water.
