The GWS 314818 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise material removal in milling applications. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length with a 1/2 inch shank diameter. The three-flute geometry paired with a 37-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A zirconium nitride (ZrN) finish improves surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting conditions. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge cuts in addition to standard peripheral and slot milling operations. It is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
