The GWS 314575 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, 5/8 inch length of cut, and 2-1/2 inch overall length, this single-end tool delivers clean, flat-bottomed cuts in a compact profile. The zirconium nitride (ZrN) finish improves surface hardness and wear resistance. The 37-degree helix angle combined with an upcut flute geometry promotes chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during extended cuts. Machinists and CNC operators install this end mill in standard toolholders as part of routine production or precision finishing work.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, pockets, and profiles in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The centercutting design allows plunge cuts in addition to peripheral and slot milling. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration match the standard spindle rotation on most vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits common collet sizes used in both manual and CNC setups. This tool is part of the Series 2030 lineup.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch collets and toolholders on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual milling machines. Part of the GWS Series 2030 end mill family.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet to the recommended depth and torque the collet nut according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
