The GWS 314570 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built to Series 2030 standards, it features a 0.25-inch cutting diameter, a 0.5-inch length of cut, and a 0.25-inch shank diameter with an overall length of 2.5 inches. The three-flute, upcut geometry with a 37-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A zirconium nitride (ZrN) finish improves surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding cuts. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece material.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, profiling, and peripheral milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC machining centers and manual mills. It is appropriate for job shops, production machining environments, and toolroom use where consistent geometry and finish quality are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 0.25-inch straight shank. Part of the GWS Series 2030 product line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully within the tool holder collet or chuck to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Confirm spindle rotation direction matches the right-hand cut specification before initiating a cut. Inspect the tool for chips or coating damage before each use.
