The GWS 313483 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. With a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 3-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 45-degree helix angle, this tool is engineered for aggressive material removal with a stable, controlled cut. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in demanding applications. Featuring 2 right-hand flutes with an upcut flute type, it is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where chip evacuation and surface finish quality are priorities.
This end mill is applicable in ferrous and non-ferrous metal machining, including steel, aluminum, and alloy materials commonly encountered in job shop and production environments. The single-end, center-cutting design allows for plunge entry as well as peripheral milling. The 3/4 inch shank diameter provides a secure fit in standard collet and end mill holder setups. At 6 inches overall length, it is suited for applications requiring reach into deeper features or pockets without extended-reach tooling. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators are the primary installers of this type of tooling.
Designed as a Series 2010 solid carbide square end mill with a 3/4 inch shank diameter, compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders accepting 3/4 inch shank tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following standard tooling change procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Verify collet or holder condition and torque retention hardware to manufacturer specifications for the holder in use. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut.
