The GWS 310469 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations across a wide range of workpiece materials. With a 0.75 inch diameter, a 2.25 inch length of cut, and a 5 inch overall length, this tool delivers consistent performance in demanding metal removal and contouring applications. The AlCrO-MAX coating provides enhanced heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in high-temperature cutting environments. Four flutes with a 38-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and surface finish quality. This end mill is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into workpieces. It is suited for use by machinists and tooling professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual milling equipment.
The GWS 310469 is engineered for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and composite materials. The primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S cover hardened steels, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, steel, and heat-resistant superalloys. The upcut right-hand flute geometry and standard length profile make this tool a practical choice for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations in production and job-shop environments. The 0.75 inch shank with h6 tolerance ensures a precise, secure fit in standard collets and end mill holders.
Suitable for use with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified in Series 2100. Designed for standard 0.75 inch collet chucks and end mill holders used on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, and confirm spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
