The GWS 310332 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built to a 0.5 inch diameter with a 3.04 mm (0.120 inch) corner radius, it delivers controlled edge geometry that reduces chipping and extends tool life on difficult workpiece materials. The 4-flute, single-end configuration supports both roughing and finishing passes. A variable helix and variable index design minimizes harmonic vibration and chatter during cuts. At 4 inches overall length with a 1-5/8 inch length of cut, this tool suits setups requiring extended reach in end mill holders used on CNC machining centers.
This end mill is engineered for cutting steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium as its primary workpiece materials, with cast iron as a secondary application. The long flute length and submicron carbide grade make it appropriate for aerospace, energy, and precision manufacturing environments where tight tolerances and surface finish are critical. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, allowing both plunge and lateral entry cuts. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance seats accurately in standard end mill holders without runout-inducing play.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium; secondary workpiece material is cast iron. Straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance fits precision end mill holder bores.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the tool changer is in a safe state before installing or removing tooling. Seat the shank to the minimum recommended grip depth in the end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout at the cutting edge before beginning production cuts.
