The GWS 124804 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in slot milling and profiling operations. With 3 helical flutes and a high helix angle of 37 degrees, this single-end, centercutting tool produces efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. The uncoated submicron carbide substrate is well suited to aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous workpiece materials. It is installed in standard end mill holders with a straight cylindrical shank.

This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and similar equipment where non-ferrous metal roughing and profiling are performed. The centercutting geometry allows both plunge and peripheral cutting, making it versatile for pocketing, contouring, and slot work. The 1/2 inch straight shank with h6 tolerance fits securely in collet-style and hydraulic end mill holders. It is a coarse-pitch, right-hand cut and right-hand flute tool from GWS Series 1020.
