The GWS 120155 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.5 inch diameter, 2 inch length of cut, and 4 inch overall length, this single-end tool is built around a submicron carbide grade that provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for tough workpiece materials. The 38-degree variable helix geometry reduces chatter and improves chip evacuation during cuts. An nACRo coating adds thermal and abrasion protection, extending tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. This end mill is suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with difficult alloys, stainless steels, and hardened materials.
The GWS 120155 fits standard CNC machining centers and manual knee mills with a 0.5 inch collet or end mill holder. Its right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional spindle setups. The upcut flute geometry pulls chips upward and away from the workpiece, making it effective for slotting, peripheral milling, and profiling operations. This is a Series 1030 tool intended for production or job-shop environments where tool life and surface finish consistency matter.
Designed as a standard shank replacement-style end mill for 0.5 inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills; no specific OEM model compatibility was provided in the product data.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully de-energized and the machine in a locked-out state before tool changes. Seat the 0.5 inch square shank fully into the holder and torque the retention hardware per the tool-holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the collet or holder for runout before first use, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow your facility safety and machine-operation procedures when setting speeds, feeds, and depth of cut.
