The GWS 119340 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built to a 3/4 inch diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius, it delivers controlled edge geometry that reduces chipping and extends tool life on hard and abrasive workpieces. The 4-flute, single-end configuration supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool, while the right-hand spiral flute design and centercutting capability allow plunge entry and full-slot milling. At 4 inches overall length with a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, this end mill fits standard end mill toolholders used in vertical machining centers and milling machines across production shops.
This end mill is suited for use in metalworking operations involving steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, stainless steel, and hard materials. The short flute length and straight cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance make it a reliable fit in precision collet chucks and hydraulic toolholders. Variable index and variable helix geometry help suppress chatter during aggressive cuts, making it appropriate for both job shop and production-line environments where surface finish and tool life consistency are critical requirements.
Designed for use with end mill toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium; secondary material compatibility includes stainless steel.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop-standard toolholder torque and runout procedures. Confirm shank seating depth meets toolholder manufacturer minimums before operation. Inspect the tool for chips or damage before each setup, and never exceed the machine spindle speed or feed rate limits specified in the shop process sheet for the workpiece material. Proper coolant strategy and chip evacuation should be evaluated prior to running full-depth cuts in superalloys or hardened steels.
