The GWS 107919 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding production environments. Built on the Series 1031 Hurrimill platform, it features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 7/8 inch length of cut, and four flutes with a variable helix and variable index geometry. The variable helix reduces harmonic chatter, improving surface finish and tool life at aggressive feed rates. An nACo coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. This tool is a single-end, right-hand cut design with an upcut flute direction, suited for conventional and climb milling operations. Machinists, tool-and-die shops, and CNC operators in metalworking environments are the typical end users.
The 107919 is used in milling operations on steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous and non-ferrous materials where chatter suppression and consistent chip evacuation are priorities. The 3/4 inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter for direct collet or end mill holder mounting without adapters in most standard setups. With a 3 inch overall length, the tool fits standard CAT, BT, and HSK tooling systems. It is centercutting, which allows plunge entry in addition to standard peripheral and slot milling. The submicron carbide grade supports use in both roughing and semi-finishing passes.
Designed for use in standard 3/4 inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and hydraulic or shrink-fit tooling systems compatible with the Series 1031 Hurrimill platform.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque to the holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling.
