The GWS 1034105 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding shop environments. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter with a 0.015 inch corner radius and 4 right-hand helical flutes, delivering a combination of roughing and finishing capability in a single tool. The 1-1/2 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length make it well suited for moderate-depth slotting, profiling, and contouring operations. FX7 coating provides elevated wear resistance and thermal stability. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials.
The 1034105 is built for production milling on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is a single-end, centercutting design, allowing plunge entry where required. The variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic vibration and chatter during aggressive cuts, making it a practical choice for high-feed and high-speed milling programs. The straight-cylindrical 1/2 inch shank with h6 tolerance seats securely in standard end mill holders.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, and cast iron; secondary materials include non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank fully into the end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, particularly when working with hard or abrasive workpiece materials.
