The GWS 1034022 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 5/16 inch (0.3125 inch) diameter with a 0.015 inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and stress concentration at the cutting corner. The 4-flute, single-end configuration with a variable helix and variable index geometry supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. The FX7 coating provides thermal and wear resistance for extended tool life in high-demand cutting environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this end mill.

This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. With a 1/2 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length, it fits short-reach applications where rigidity is critical. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction make it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual mills. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance mounts securely in standard end mill holders.

Installation Notes

Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into the end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the holder manufacturer specifications. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts.
