The GUHRING 9199520031700 is a solid carbide square end mill from the SelectMill 19952 series, designed for precision milling in demanding shop environments. It features a 1/8 inch cutting diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 30-degree right-hand helical flute geometry with two flutes. The tool carries a FIREX coating for improved wear resistance and heat management during high-speed cutting. Overall length is 1.5 inches. Machinists and CNC operators use this end mill for finishing and light slotting operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is suited for machining a range of workpiece materials including cast iron and hardened materials (ISO K), stainless steel (ISO M), non-ferrous metals and plastics (ISO N), and steel (ISO P), with secondary suitability for superalloys (ISO S). The straight cylindrical 1/8 inch shank fits standard collet systems, making it compatible with common machining center and CNC router setups. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool, allowing plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. Standard length type keeps it rigid for close-tolerance work at small diameters.
Designed for use in standard 1/8 inch collets and collet chucks on CNC machining centers, CNC routers, and manual mills. Workpiece material suitability codes K, M, N, and P cover cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous alloys, and steel; secondary code S covers superalloys.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the straight shank fully and evenly in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder before tightening to the holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the collet bore and shank for chips or contamination before each installation, as debris at this diameter significantly increases runout. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are set per the job program before starting the cut.
