The GUHRING 9085210128000 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in titanium alloys and similarly demanding workpiece materials. Built to Series 8521 specifications, it features a 140-degree point angle with HF point geometry and web thinning for self-centering entry and reduced thrust force. The drill measures 12.80 mm in diameter with a 124.00 mm overall length and a straight-cylindrical shank of 14.00 mm diameter. Coolant-through capability supports effective chip evacuation and heat management at depth. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and tool-room professionals working on precision CNC and manual drilling operations.
This drill is intended for use in applications requiring tight diameter tolerances and consistent hole quality in hard or abrasive materials, particularly titanium alloys (material code P/S). The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 57.80 mm maximum drilling depth make it suited for moderate-depth bores in aerospace, medical, and industrial manufacturing environments. The right-hand spiral flute configuration and regular spiral type are compatible with standard spindle direction on most machining centers and drill presses. Straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and drill chucks rated for 14.00 mm shank diameter.
Designed as a Series 8521 jobber drill per DIN 6535 and DIN 6537 L, intended for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses equipped with collet or drill chucks accepting a 14.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material compatibility is titanium alloy (material codes P and S).
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully in a properly rated collet or chuck before operation, and verify coolant-through supply pressure is compatible with the machine spindle before use. Carbide drill bits are brittle compared to high-speed steel — avoid lateral loading, interrupted cuts without proper feed adjustment, or hand-feeding at inconsistent rates. Follow the tooling manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speeds, feeds, and coolant flow rates appropriate to the workpiece material.
