The GUHRING 9069910254000 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill head designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. Part of the Series 6991 platform, this head features a 1 inch mill diameter and a 3 inch length of cut, making it well suited for deep-cavity and profile milling passes. The nano-A coating provides enhanced wear resistance and thermal stability, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With 5 helical flutes and a variable index geometry, this tool delivers improved chip evacuation and reduced chatter during aggressive cuts. Right-hand cutting direction is standard. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers are the primary users of this tooling.
This end mill head is intended for use in modular tooling systems that accept the Series 6991 interface. It is suited for precision milling operations in job shops, aerospace manufacturing, die and mold work, and general metalworking environments where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are required. The non-centercutting geometry means this head is configured for peripheral and side milling, not plunge cutting. It performs best in CNC machining centers where spindle rigidity and coolant delivery are controlled.
Designed as a replacement-style modular end mill head for use in tooling systems compatible with the GUHRING Series 6991 interface. Confirm interface specifications against your existing arbor or holder before ordering.
Installation and removal of modular end mill heads should be performed by a qualified machinist using the manufacturer-specified torque wrench and interface tooling. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing heads. Clean the mating interface surfaces and inspect for wear or debris before seating the head. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine tool manufacturer guidelines during tool changes.
