The GUHRING 9069880063520 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal cutting in demanding machining environments. It carries a 0.02 inch corner radius and features five helical flutes in a right-hand cutting direction with a medium-high helix angle of 38 degrees. The extra-long geometry provides 1 inch of length of cut and a 3 inch overall length on a 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. A nano-A coating improves wear resistance and heat dissipation, making this tool effective across roughing and finishing operations in ferrous and hard materials. It is a single-end tool with no chipbreaker and no center-cutting geometry.
This end mill is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium as primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability on non-ferrous metals and hard materials. The extra-long reach makes it suitable for deep-pocket milling, slotting, and contouring operations where standard-length end mills cannot reach. It is intended for use with standard end mill holders in CNC machining centers and manual mills. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on precision components in aerospace, general manufacturing, and mold work will find this tool well suited to applications requiring tight corner radius tolerance control.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Compatible with primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, as well as secondary materials such as non-ferrous metals and hard materials. Part of the Guhring Series 6988.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling specialist. Secure the shank fully within the end mill holder to the recommended gauge line before engaging the workpiece. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings match the material and operation type before cutting. Do not use this tool for center drilling or plunge cutting, as it is not a center-cutting design.
