The GUHRING 9068090020000 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built from ultra-fine grain carbide and finished with a Durox coating, this tool delivers both roughing and finishing capability in a single pass. The 3-flute, right-hand helical design runs at a high helix angle with a coarse pitch, promoting efficient chip evacuation and reduced heat buildup. At 2 mm in diameter with a 10 mm length of cut and 57 mm overall length, it is suited for tight-tolerance work where tool life and edge integrity are critical. Coolant-through capability supports extended tool life in harder materials.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and mill setups where precise corner geometry and consistent finish quality are required. It is center-cutting and capable of plunge entry. The 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard end mill holders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys including titanium. It also carries a secondary rating for hard materials. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and precision part manufacturing where small-diameter tooling is required.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Compatible with machining of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as identified by material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the tool. Secure the 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank in an appropriate end mill holder with correct torque per the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, particularly given the small 2 mm cutting diameter where even minor runout has significant impact on tool life and part accuracy.
