The GUHRING 9068090010000 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. With a 1 mm mill diameter and a 5 mm length of cut, this single-end, center-cutting tool handles both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup. The ultra-fine grain carbide substrate and Durox coating provide hardness and wear resistance suitable for aggressive cutting cycles. A high helix angle promotes chip evacuation, and the coarse pitch geometry supports material removal rates expected in production environments. Coolant-through capability helps manage heat at the cutting edge. Installed in a standard end mill holder, this tool suits CNC machining centers running tight-tolerance features on small-diameter workpieces.
This end mill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys including titanium, as well as hard materials. The 4 mm straight-cylindrical shank fits standard end mill holders and collet systems sized for that shank diameter. Its extra-long length type and 12 mm reach length make it appropriate for accessing recessed features or deep pockets where a standard-length tool would not reach. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC milling setups.
Designed for use with end mill holders accepting a 4 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for CNC machining centers processing steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), non-ferrous metals (N), superalloys and titanium (S), and hard materials (H) per ISO material classification codes.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle is locked out before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully in the holder to the recommended gauge length and torque the retention mechanism per the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, as runout on a 1 mm diameter tool will directly impact surface finish and tool life.
