The GUHRING 9068030050000 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding metal removal in ferrous and exotic alloy applications. With a 5 mm cutting diameter and 4 flutes, it delivers both roughing and finishing capability in a single tool. The variable helix and variable index geometry reduce chatter and harmonic vibration during high-load passes. A nano-Si (silicon nitride) coating provides thermal and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting environments. At 54 mm overall length with a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank, this short-length end mill fits standard end mill holders used throughout CNC machining operations.
This end mill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium as primary workpiece materials, with non-ferrous metals listed as secondary applications. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, and the extended reach configuration with a 4.80 mm neck diameter and 15 mm reach length accommodates features where full-shank clearance is not available. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC vertical and horizontal machining center use.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Compatible with CNC machining centers running steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), superalloys and titanium (S), and non-ferrous metals (N) per ISO workpiece material classification. Part of GUHRING Series 6803.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank fully within the end mill holder to the minimum clamping depth recommended by the holder manufacturer to prevent pullout under load. Verify runout with a dial indicator before committing to a production cut, particularly given the reduced neck diameter on this extended-reach configuration. Follow machine tool builder guidelines and shop safety procedures when changing or setting tooling.
