The GUHRING 9067740127000 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built with 4 helical flutes and a 48-degree high helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The 0.006-inch chamfer width at a 45-degree chamfer angle protects corner edges and reduces the risk of chipping on finished workpieces. A proprietary nano-A (AlTiN) PVD coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting conditions. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium as primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability in non-ferrous metals. Its centercutting geometry and Weldon flat shank make it appropriate for slotting, shouldering, ramp-down, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging and recessing operations. The extra-long length of cut and 4.5-inch overall length provide extended reach for deep-cavity and long-reach applications common in mold, die, and aerospace component machining. This is a single-end tool from the GUHRING Series 6774 line.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with standard 1/2-inch toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium (material codes P, M, S). Secondary compatibility with non-ferrous metals (material code N). Suitable for shouldering, slotting, ramp-down, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging and recessing operations.
This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the Weldon flat is properly seated against the set screw in the toolholder before operation. Verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material and cutting depth before engaging the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use and replace the tool if damage is observed.
