The GUHRING 9067570158700 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. It features a 5/8 inch diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and four helical flutes with a variable helix geometry that reduces chatter and improves surface finish. The cutting edge incorporates a 45-degree chamfer angle with a 0.006 inch chamfer width, producing consistent edge breaks in a single pass. A TiAlSiN (nano-Si) PVD coating applied via nano-A technology provides thermal resistance and extended tool life. This end mill is centercutting and single-ended, making it suitable for slotting, shouldering, ramp-down entry, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging operations. It is installed and run by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop settings.
This end mill is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium as primary workpiece materials, with secondary suitability for non-ferrous metals. The ultra-fine micrograin carbide substrate and variable helix design make it particularly well suited for aerospace and precision machining applications where tight tolerances and difficult-to-machine alloys are common. The Weldon flat shank provides positive drive and reduces pullout risk in high-feed operations. The 3-1/2 inch overall length and 5/8 inch shank diameter fit standard collet chucks and Weldon-style end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC mills.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide end mill for use in standard 5/8 inch Weldon-style end mill holders and collet chucks on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine powered down and all axes at a safe home position. Seat the Weldon flat fully against the set screw in the holder before tightening to prevent slippage under load. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear and reduce chamfer accuracy. Consult the machine tool builder guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when setting speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the workpiece material.
