The GUHRING 9065140063500 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for deep hole drilling in demanding production and maintenance environments. The bit measures 1/4 inch (0.2500 inches) in diameter with a 322 mm overall length and a 282 mm spiral flute length, giving it a 40xD flute-to-diameter ratio suited for deep-reach applications. A TiAlN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The 135-degree standard point angle and web-thinned, tapered web geometry reduce entry thrust and help center the bit without a pilot hole. Right-hand cutting direction is standard. This is a professional-grade cutting tool installed by machinists and maintenance technicians in industrial and trade settings.
This drill bit is intended for deep hole drilling in cast iron, stainless steel, and steel as primary workpiece materials, with aluminum and titanium alloy listed as secondary compatible materials. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 8.00 mm (0.3150 inches) in diameter with a 36 mm shank length, fitting standard drill chucks and collet holders used in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines. Maximum drilling depth is 272.48 mm (10.7280 inches). The coolant-through design supports internal coolant delivery, making this bit well suited for production drilling cycles where chip evacuation and heat control are critical.
Designed for use in cast iron, stainless steel, and steel as primary workpiece materials (material codes K, M, P), with aluminum and titanium alloy as secondary workpiece materials (material codes N, S, H). Fits standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting an 8.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Part of GUHRING Series 6514.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with cutting tool setup and machine operation. Always power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the bit. Verify chuck or collet runout is within acceptable tolerance before use, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide tooling. When using the coolant-through feature, confirm coolant pressure and flow rate are compatible with the machine spindle before beginning the drilling cycle.
