The GUHRING 9065130031700 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for deep hole drilling in demanding production environments. Built to Series 6513 specifications, it features a TiAlN coating, a 135-degree split point, and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces entry force and improves chip evacuation. The 0.125 inch diameter bit has an overall length of approximately 6.22 inches (158 mm) and a flute length of approximately 4.65 inches (118 mm), providing a 30xD reach-to-diameter ratio suited to deep blind and through-hole applications. Coolant-through capability supports high-feed machining strategies in difficult materials. Right-hand cutting direction with a regular spiral flute geometry. Intended for installation by machining professionals and CNC operators.
This drill bit is engineered for deep hole work in cast iron, stainless steel, and carbon steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary suitability for aluminum and titanium alloys. Its extra length geometry and coolant-through design make it a fit for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and dedicated deep-hole drilling setups where standard-length tooling cannot reach required depths. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 6 mm shank diameter seats directly in collet chucks or standard drill holders without adapters.
Designed as a Series 6513 GUHRING extra length drill for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses with collet or cylindrical-shank toolholders accepting a 6 mm shank. Primary workpiece material ratings cover cast iron (K), stainless steel (M), and steel (P); secondary ratings cover aluminum (N) and titanium alloy (S and H codes).
Installation should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the bit from the toolholder. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into the collet and torque the nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify coolant-through passages are clear and system pressure is set per the machining process requirement before initiating a cut.
