The GUHRING 9065120063500 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for deep hole drilling applications in demanding industrial and machining environments. With a 0.25 inch (1/4 inch) diameter and an overall length of approximately 9.33 inches (237 mm), it provides extended reach for operations where standard-length drills fall short. The spiral flute geometry and TiAlN coating work together to manage heat and chip evacuation at depth. A 135-degree split point with web thinning reduces thrust load and improves centering. Coolant-through capability supports high-performance drilling in tough materials. This bit is designed for use by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop settings.
Rated for deep hole drilling at a maximum drilling depth of approximately 7.38 inches (187.48 mm), this bit is suited for ferrous and non-ferrous work across a range of applications. It is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers and manual drilling operations where extended reach and tight tolerances are required. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, stainless steel, and steel. Secondary workpiece materials include aluminum and titanium alloy. The 25xD flute-to-diameter ratio reflects its deep hole capability. The straight cylindrical shank diameter of 8 mm fits standard drill chucks and collets.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement drill bit in GUHRING Series 6512 for deep hole drilling applications in cast iron, stainless steel, steel, aluminum, and titanium alloy workpieces. Fits standard 8 mm straight cylindrical shank toolholders and drill chucks.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual drilling equipment. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are properly secured and that coolant supply lines are connected and verified before operation when using the coolant-through feature. Confirm shank seating and runout before cutting, especially for deep hole applications where deflection affects hole quality. Observe all applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines when handling solid carbide tooling.
