The GUHRING 9065120047600 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for deep hole drilling applications in demanding industrial and machining environments. Built from submicron-grade carbide and coated with TiAlN for heat resistance and extended tool life, this bit features a 135-degree split point with web thinning for reduced thrust and improved centering. It carries a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) diameter with a flute-to-diameter ratio of 25xD, supporting maximum drilling depths up to 135.86 mm. The spiral flute geometry with a tapered web configuration promotes efficient chip evacuation. Licensed machinists and CNC tool-room technicians are the primary installers and operators.
This drill bit is suited for deep hole drilling in cast iron, stainless steel, and steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability in aluminum and titanium alloy. Its extra length geometry makes it appropriate for applications where standard-length bits cannot reach required depth, including mold and die work, aerospace component drilling, and heavy equipment manufacturing. It is classified as a high-performance grade tool within the GUHRING Series 6512 lineup. Coolant-through capability allows internal coolant delivery, making it compatible with CNC machining centers and drill presses equipped with through-spindle coolant systems.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar equipment with straight-cylindrical collet or chuck toolholding systems accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter. Rated for primary workpiece materials including cast iron, stainless steel, and steel, with secondary suitability for aluminum and titanium alloy.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC technicians familiar with carbide tooling handling procedures. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet or drill chuck before operation, and verify runout within acceptable limits to avoid premature edge chipping. When using coolant-through capability, confirm the machine spindle coolant system is active and set to the appropriate flow rate for the material being drilled. Carbide is brittle and susceptible to fracture from shock loading or side forces — avoid interrupted cuts and lateral deflection during use.
