The GUHRING 9065120031700 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for deep hole drilling applications in demanding industrial environments. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide and coated with TiAlN for extended tool life, this bit features a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch decimal) diameter with a 135-degree standard point angle and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces entry thrust and improves chip evacuation. The spiral flute design with a 25xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports chip flow in deep-cut scenarios. Coolant-through capability allows internal coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone, making this bit suitable for high-performance production drilling. It is part of the GUHRING Series 6512 line of deep-hole tooling.
This drill bit is designed for deep hole drilling in cast iron, stainless steel, and steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary suitability for aluminum and titanium alloys. The right-hand cutting direction and straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual or automated production setups. The extended flute length of 101 mm and 141 mm overall length provide the reach required for deep-feature work that standard-length bits cannot achieve.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and production drilling equipment with standard straight-cylindrical shank toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, stainless steel, and steel; secondary materials include aluminum and titanium alloy. Refer to GUHRING Series 6512 tooling documentation for full application parameters.
Installation and operation of carbide drill bits should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with CNC or manual drill setups. Ensure the spindle and workholding are powered down and fully stopped before changing or seating the bit in the collet or chuck. Verify coolant-through connections are properly engaged if using internal coolant delivery. Avoid side-loading or interrupted cuts beyond the tool's rated application to prevent carbide fracture.
