The GUHRING 9065110031700 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for deep hole drilling in demanding production and job-shop environments. Built to Series 6511 standards, it features a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch decimal) diameter, a 135-degree standard point angle, and a TiAlN coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting conditions. The spiral flute geometry is a regular right-hand configuration with a web-thinned, tapered web for improved chip evacuation and reduced thrust at entry. Submicron carbide grade construction provides the hardness and wear resistance required for consistent performance in interrupted cuts and hard materials. Licensed HVAC technicians, machinists, and tool-and-die professionals specify this bit for precision deep-hole work where standard-length tooling cannot reach.
This drill bit is engineered for deep hole drilling applications with a flute-to-diameter ratio of 20xD, making it suitable for through-holes and blind holes that exceed the reach of jobber-length tooling. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, stainless steel, and steel. Secondary compatible materials include aluminum and titanium alloys. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in standard drill chucks, collet chucks, and shrink-fit holders without adapters. Typical use cases include aerospace component drilling, mold and die work, and precision machining of structural steel and stainless assemblies.
Designed as a Series 6511 extra length drill bit compatible with primary workpiece materials cast iron, stainless steel, and steel (ISO material codes K, M, P) and secondary materials aluminum and titanium alloy (ISO codes N, S). Fits standard straight-bore drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 6 mm shank diameter.
Installation and use of this tooling should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with CNC or manual drilling equipment. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and hole depth before engaging the cut. Secure the workpiece fully before drilling to prevent movement during deep-hole passes. When using the coolant-through feature, verify the machine spindle and toolholder are rated for internal coolant delivery at the required pressure.
