The GUHRING 9065090111100 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for deep hole drilling in demanding production environments. It carries a TiAlN coating and features a 135-degree RT100 T point with web thinning for reliable self-centering and reduced thrust. At 0.437 inches in diameter with a 15xD flute-to-diameter ratio, this drill reaches a maximum drilling depth of 7.769 inches. Internal coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and thermal management during extended cuts. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard toolholders. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in aerospace, automotive, and precision machining shops are the primary users.
This bit is designed for deep hole drilling applications in cast iron, stainless steel, and carbon and alloy steels as primary workpiece materials. It also performs in aluminum and titanium alloy as secondary materials. The Series 6509 designation places it in Guhring's high-performance carbide drill lineup, suitable for horizontal and vertical machining centers running coolant-through tooling. The right-hand cutting direction and regular spiral geometry make it compatible with standard CNC spindle configurations. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron (K), stainless steel (M), and steel (P); secondary materials include aluminum (N) and titanium alloy (S) per ISO material group coding.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Confirm the toolholder or collet is rated for coolant-through use and that the machine spindle coolant pressure is within the toolholder manufacturer's specifications before beginning. Power down and lock out the machine before loading or unloading the drill. Inspect the shank and collet bore for chips or contamination before seating the tool to maintain h7 tolerance fit and prevent runout.
