The GUHRING 9065090063500 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for deep hole drilling in demanding production environments. It carries a TiAlN coating for heat resistance and extended tool life. The bit measures 0.25 inches (1/4 inch) in diameter with an overall length of approximately 6.57 inches (167 mm) and a flute length of approximately 5 inches (127 mm). The 135-degree drill point angle and RT100 T point geometry reduce thrust force and improve centering at entry. Web thinning further lowers cutting resistance, making this bit well suited to high-cycle machining operations where consistent hole quality matters.
This drill bit is designed for deep hole drilling applications reaching a maximum depth of 4.625 inches (117.48 mm), or a flute-to-diameter ratio of 15xD. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, stainless steel, and steel. Secondary materials include aluminum and titanium alloy. The straight-cylindrical shank (8 mm diameter, 36 mm shank length) fits standard toolholders with h7 tolerance. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and thermal management in through-coolant spindles. This bit is used in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and production boring applications by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or production tooling option for straight-cylindrical shank toolholders accepting an 8 mm shank with h7 tolerance. Suitable for machining cast iron, stainless steel, steel, aluminum, and titanium alloy workpieces in through-coolant spindle setups.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Verify toolholder runout and clamping torque using the toolholder manufacturer specifications before operation. Confirm coolant-through channels are clear and coolant pressure is within the spindle system rating before engaging the cut. Dispose of worn or chipped carbide tooling per applicable California Proposition 65 and facility hazardous material guidelines.
