The GUHRING 9065090060000 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for demanding deep hole drilling applications. It features a 6.00 mm (0.2362 inch) diameter, a 135-degree drill point angle with RT100 T point geometry, and a TiAlN coating that extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The spiral flute design and web-thinned tip reduce cutting forces and improve chip evacuation. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 15xD and a maximum drilling depth of 101.00 mm (3.976 inches), this bit is sized for applications where standard-length tooling cannot reach. A right-hand cutting direction and straight-cylindrical shank with h7 diameter tolerance ensure consistent runout and reliable chuck retention.
This drill bit is suited for professional machining environments where deep, accurate holes are required in difficult-to-machine materials. It targets cast iron, stainless steel, and carbon steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary suitability for aluminum and titanium alloys. The through-coolant capability supports high-feed drilling in CNC machining centers and other production equipment where coolant delivery through the spindle or toolholder is available. Series 6509 positions this as a high-performance option for shops running tight-tolerance deep hole work in aerospace, mold and die, and general metalworking trades.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and drilling equipment with straight-cylindrical shank toolholders or chucks accepting a 6.00 mm shank with h7 tolerance. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, stainless steel, and steel; secondary materials include aluminum and titanium alloys.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide cutting tools. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and properly seated before clamping. When through-coolant is available, activate coolant flow before engaging the workpiece to prevent thermal shock to the carbide substrate. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid interrupted cuts or side-loading that can cause chipping or fracture.
