The GUHRING 9065090047600 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for deep hole drilling applications in demanding industrial and trade environments. Built on the Series 6509 platform, it features a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) diameter, a 135-degree standard point angle, and a TiAlN coating that extends tool life under high heat and abrasion. The spiral flute geometry combined with a web-thinned, tapered web configuration promotes efficient chip evacuation in deep bores. Coolant-through capability supports extended reach cutting by delivering coolant directly to the cutting zone, reducing thermal load and improving hole finish. The overall length is 133 mm, with a flute length of 93 mm (approximately 3.66 inches). This bit is suited for licensed machinists, tool and die professionals, and precision trade shops.
This drill bit is designed for deep hole drilling operations where standard-length tooling cannot reach. With a 15xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of approximately 85.86 mm (3.38 inches), it handles bores that exceed typical drill reach. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, stainless steel, and steel. Secondary workpiece materials include aluminum and titanium alloy. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 6 mm (0.2362 inch) diameter and 36 mm shank length provides secure tool-holder engagement in standard collet and chuck systems. Right-hand cutting direction is standard.
Designed for use in cast iron, stainless steel, and steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary suitability for aluminum and titanium alloy. Fits standard tool holders and collet chucks accommodating a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and operation of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with CNC and manual drilling equipment. Ensure the machine spindle and workpiece are fully secured before starting the cut. Verify coolant-through supply is active before engaging the drill in deep hole operations to prevent premature tool wear or breakage. Inspect the shank seating in the tool holder for runout before production use.
